Six leaders. Eight sessions. One year of doing the work together.
Most leaders trying to build a business that serves all its stakeholders are doing it largely alone. Their team looks to them for direction, not the other way around. Their board asks about performance. Their friends don’t have the context. And the leaders they meet at conferences are usually performing rather than reflecting.
A Circle is the room where that changes.
Why this work pays off
Doing right by your people, your customers, your suppliers and the environment is not a trade-off against performance. The evidence points the other way:
- 14x. How much companies built around stakeholder value outperformed the S&P 500 over fifteen years
- 175% vs 70%. Growth over twelve years for brands with a purpose people can feel, against brands without one
- 13% to 70%. Average employee engagement in Europe, against conscious organisations. The strongest go past 90%.
That last gap isn’t an HR statistic. It’s a measure of how much of your organisation’s capability is currently going unused.
None of it follows from writing a purpose statement. It follows from leaders changing how they decide, who they listen to, and what they let themselves be held to. Slow work, and it goes better with five peers doing it alongside you.
What a Circle is
- Six leaders, different industries and sizes, selected for fit and commitment
- Eight sessions across a year, 2.5 hours each
- Rotating hosts (in-person Circles). You meet at each other’s organisations and see how other people actually work
- A trained moderator who is part of the Circle and holds the container. Not a teacher: someone who keeps the conversation honest and brings the Conscious Business perspective when the group needs it. Specialist moderators join for specific topics.
- Eight-week sprints between sessions, with a peer buddy for a weekly check-in
A Circle isn’t a seminar you attend. It’s a commitment you keep.
What makes it different
The Circles are about the how of conscious business, not the what. The theory is in the book. What’s hard is doing it inside a real organisation with a board and a payroll.
That takes a particular way of talking, and the whole first session goes into building it:
- Speaking from “I”, owning your experience instead of generalising
- Reflecting, not fixing. The group listens, witnesses and asks. No advice.
- Confidentiality. What’s said in the Circle stays there
- Presence over performance. The title stays at the door
Most members find the first half hour uncomfortable. By the end of the first day, most understand why it’s built that way.
The year
| Session | Focus |
|---|---|
| 1 | Foundation. Trust, working agreements, the communication disciplines, the Conscious States of Leadership™ framework, your peer buddy pairing. |
| 2 | Your roadmap. CB Scan results into a starting point, three to five priorities, your first sprint. Peers stress-test the plan. |
| 3–7 | The five pillars. Higher Purpose · Conscious Culture and Organisation · Stakeholder Ecosystem · Business Model and Impact · Integration. Each opens with a sprint review and closes with a new commitment. |
| 8 | Integration, and what comes next. A second CB Scan to see what actually shifted, and where you take it from here. |
What it asks of you
- Around two days a year in sessions
- Half an hour a week with your peer buddy
- All eight dates. Can’t make one? You find a new date rather than skipping it.
- Confidentiality, presence, and a willingness to be challenged by people who have no stake in flattering you
A group of six only works when six people show up for it. That’s why we’re careful about who joins.
Who it is for
Leaders already convinced that business should serve all its stakeholders, past debating whether to do it. What they want is to get better at the implementation, and to stop doing it in isolation.
In practice: a founder, owner or executive with enough authority to act on what they decide in the room.
What it costs
| Online | €4,500 for the year |
| In person | €7,500 for the year |
Been through the Conscious Business Deep Dive? The €250 you already paid is credited against the Circle fee.
How to join
We don’t sell places in a Circle. Both sides need to be sure, because a group of six only works when the chemistry and the commitment level are right.
- A fit conversation, about thirty minutes. What you’re working on, what you want from the year, and whether this group is the right place for it.
- An honest answer. An invitation to join the next Circle, or a straightforward explanation of what we think would serve you better right now.
- Confirmation, with all dates, the pre-work, and your onboarding.
A fit conversation costs nothing and clarifies a lot. And if the timing turns out to be wrong, that’s a real answer too.
